TIM XU 
Student, Northern Virginia Community College

Tim Xu, age 16, has been studying piano for seven years. He is a dual enrollment student at Northern Virginia Community College (NVCC) and currently studies with Ms. Ljiljana Eluhow of NVCC. Tim has previously studied with Ms. Zhan-wen Fu of the Beijing Conservatory.

In 2006, Tim won the 1st prize Honors Award at NVCC where he also has earned six music credits as part of the NVCC Dual Enrollment Partnership Program. He has been a two-time finalist in the International Young Artist Piano Competition in which he placed 4th in 2005. 

Tim is also a junior at Thomas Jefferson High School for Science and Technology in Fairfax County, where he maintains a GPA of 4.06.

Recently, Tim was invited to perform at the Executive Mansion in Richmond during a luncheon of the Virginia Foundation for Community College Education.
