We are so excited about our upcoming Development Ed/VADE peer group meeting. It is always a good one, but this year’s promises to be especially exciting with Rita Smilkstein guest lecturing.
- You need to register online at least two weeks prior to the meeting. We post the registrant directory on our website and update it weekly, so check to make sure you are properly listed and find colleagues with whom you can carpool. This meeting is free to all interested full time and adjunct VCCS faculty and the opening luncheon and breakfast the next day are provided, but reimbursement for travel expenses is at the discretion of you or your college.
- Reserve your hotel room early and be sure to ask for the VCCS room block. The VCCS will pay for one night’s lodging for any employee whose campus is 50 or more miles from the site of the meeting, plus the night before for those who must commute 200 or more miles to attend. You will be asked to provide a personal credit card to guarantee your reservation but will only be charged for incidentals and parking upon checkout. Be sure to notify the hotel if your plans change or you will be charged as a no-show.
