The Faculty & Administrative Leadership Academy is designed to provide the leadership theories, practices and skills needed to support current and aspiring leaders to lead their respective departments/areas and colleges more effectively.
Participation in this event is by invitation only. Space is limited to one faculty or administrative member per campus. If you are interested in being considered for this program, please contact your president’s or provost’s office.
Our next Faculty & Administrative Leadership Academy will be held April 12-15, 2010, at the Virginia Crossings Resort in Glen Allen, Virginia. We are delighted to welcome back Desna Wallin as our conference facilitator.
The VCCS 2008 Faculty and Administrators Leadership Academy was held September 30 - October 3, 2008 at the Sheraton Richmond West in Richmond, Virginia. The program focused on the complex role of the organizational leader, building effective work teams, succession planning, and managing costs effectively. New this year was the presidents' panel. The academy was facilitated by Desna Wallin and George Boggs, president of the American Association of Community Colleges, provided the opening address.
