The Virginia Community College System (VCCS) endorses an athletic sports consortium consisting of club teams in men’s and women’s  sports at various schools across the state. The VCCS colleges work together to set standards of excellence in academic achievement and sports participation.

Intercollegiate athletics at the VCCS are regulated by the State Intercollegiate Athletic Board.  Guidelines, requirements, and grievances are addressed by this board.
